dia: jangan kaget yah liat gue. kali ini bener2 udah kayak bola..
gue: wah kaos yg gue beliin buat elo ukuran m, entar buat gue aja deh.
dia: sial. gila gue minta tips diet dong lu bisa kurus gitu
gue: resep kurus gampang, part time master sambil kerja.
=)
jawaban gue asli ngawur banget. soalnya kurus atau bola itu tergantung orangnya. gue pulang kuliah yang ada malah ngemil coklat/biskuit/cemilan within reach. trus ada case study orang kantor yg ambil kuliah part time malah tambah membola.. yah yang penting sehat dan tetap hepi lah.. ;)

there's a change in plan. considering that I'd get to 'enjoy' fewer days of MC if I were to extract my wisdom tooth this coming new year, I decided to postpone it (after a consultation to a nearby dentist which cost me $20 and the clinic didn't even accept credit card!) to March. hopefully by then the tooth wouldn't have done any damage to the others..
5 days of MC is indeed very long, I normally take only 1 day in a year.. which is a bit embarrasing. hopefully I can manage to clear the one-week MC plus few days of annual leave all within one month.. *grin*

maybe it's our free will misdirected or just a shameful pride, but we live our lives with the conviction that we stand at the center of the drama. Moments rarely come that put us outside ourselves, that divorce us from our egos and force us to see the larger picture, to recognize that the drama is in fact a tapestry and that each of us is but a thread in the vivid weave, yet each thread essential to the integrity of the cloth.

hari ini akhirnya ada matahari.. let's celebrate it with.. doing laundry! haha.. akhirnya terlaksana juga gue makan batagor. plus baso malang. sama ketoprak.. maruk ya? ;) nih fotonya.. penampilan ketoprak menurut gue kurang menjual, jadi males motonya.. rasanya lumayan, considering jarang nemu batagor sama ketoprak disini. harga cukup affordable, berkisar antara $2.5 - $4.5 buat meal set pake nasi.

decided to join another class that is also held on thursdays. I didn't even consider this particular subject before but it's definitely less stressful than the other one I attended last week. hope I won't regret it later on.
a part of my wisdom tooth decided to part ways few days ago, so I am going home on the end of this month to extract it. my brother has generously shared his experience with the dentist: the medicine is to be inserted through the "opening at the end of the digestive tract where bowel contents leave the body" (a.k.a: anus).. *shudder*

what a wet sunday. it's been raining non-stop since morning, a perfect day to hibernate myself at home. didn't buy any cooking ingredients, so I had instant noodle for lunch. wanted to place order for pizzas but the queue was so long, it's either the call couldn't get through or I had to wait for 2 hours.

lagi pengen makan batagor, gara-gara baca iklan warung indo. ada 2 warung berbeda, satu di jurong west satu lagi di kawasan orchard. mm.. ga harus batagor sih, ketoprak ayo, baso campur jadi, soto betawi pun mau.. akhirnya tadi bela-belain ke kios yg di jurong west.. hehe ga sampe segitunyalah, tadi pas aja pergi 'shopping' (i.e. attend tanpa register) ke salah satu kelas di kampus.. jadi udah tanggung berada di daerah situ. eh ternyata.. warungnya ga buka. rese bin nyebelin. ga ada pertanda pula kapan dia bakal buka lagi. ya wis lah, gue ke orcet aja ntar kalo niat.. =(
there's this announcement that I found quite amusing: "..the chinese new year cookies are on sale, hot off the oven. they're baked last week.."
decided not to come for tomorrow's potluck lunch. reason being, I'm too lazy to think what to put in the pot, and I'm in anti-social mode.

finished installation of a software in the morning with help from a number of people.. and left office at 4 plus this afternoon for annual department gathering. one user called me at 4 pm..
user: "you can not go for your function already"
me: "why?"
user: "'cos my report got problem"
user: "blablabla... blablabla... blablabla"
user: "ok, you can go now"
me: ??
if only all users can be appeased just by us listening to their problems.. =|
so off I went. the event took place at the chevron, a club in Jurong East area. the agenda includes bingo game, performances by management team, buffet dinner, game-cum-introduction of new staff, guess-who-I-am game, fear factor game and lucky draw.
the most memorable is the fear factor game. $300 cold hard cash prize was enough as a bait.. =) first round, the participants were asked to gulp down 5 different liquor. second round, they were asked to search for alphabets in a box filled with worms and toads.. final round, the challenge was to finish up pig's brain, century egg, cod liver oil, wasabi and butter! butter sounded very normal but the size was not.. =)

I'm officially looking for a new umbrella. my current umbrella now has started showing some aging signs like unability to dry properly, which makes it more tedious to handle. I bought it like 5.5 years ago on one of shopping trips with my 2nd year roommate. she picked the green colored one and I had the maroon one.
believe it or not, it's not so easy to find an umbrella that suits my taste. to add into the difficulty level, not all department stores sell umbrellas.

welcome back to school!
the second semester starts so very early in the year. I've enrolled myself to 3 subjects but am still a little bit unsure about my choices. lots of comments from classmates make me even more confused.. =|
quite disappointed though that my cross-module application for PM course was rejected. chance is very slim to get through even though I re-applied for it. was quite upset to learn that they accepted some students in the same course as mine just because they're doing full time. hey, part time students also must pay, okay.. looks like the effort spent by the school to send out survey form to learn about our subject preferences was going to the drain.
