I don't normally drink coffee in office. I prefer to classify myself as a social drinker (coffee as well as alcohol). no thanks to the 5-hour long project meeting today, I drank 2 full cups of coffee. at 3pm, I was struggling to keep my eyes open while trying to listen to people arguing endlessly. not a single thing entered my brain.. so I decided to get the free coffee from cafeteria, since the meeting room is just a few steps away. 10 mins after I returned to the meeting, somebody decided to buy coffee and I got my second cup.. I was very wide awake till the end of the meeting at almost 7pm. I hope I'd have no problem sleeping tonight.

finally I got my driving license converted! *all smiles*

after some delay and an unfruitful cab ride, thanks to kranji express bus service, with rumbling stomach we managed to reach bollywood veggie for lunch. it offers various organic delights, delivered straight from its own farm. to me the dishes lack that special oomph (i.e. kurang nendang, gitu loh..) possibly due to the absence of salt..

attended lunch talk today on running tips. one interesting theory: for slimming purpose, we need to run for at least 40 mins, at minimum speed of 7 km/h. reason being, during early stage the body will burn more carbohydrate (60%) than fat (40%), then the fat burning rate will gradually increase.

celebrated mass at SPP today. came across a nice shop just beside the church, selling all kinds of religious stuff and books. found some ancient publications authored by anthony de mello and john powell. reason for me being late despite the promise to come on time ;)

.. finally tried resto surabaya at lucky plaza with a group of friends, which ended up as a lunch treat.. :)

our menu: rawon, sayur asem, ayam bakar, ayam goreng kremes, kangkung, and ikan bakar millenium. thumbs up for the ikan bakar, it's really yummy.. their rawon is delectable too, except that the beef's too little.

I guess I really pay the price of my indolence. being a good procrastinator, I keep delaying my effort to convert my driving license. since it's now too late, attestation letter is required to confirm that I was not a resident here when the first license was issued. and my basic theory test is already more than 1 year old.. luckily there's no expiry date for BTT.. well, let's see if I'm too lazy to attend to this again next week.

went for a once-in-a-blue-moon dinner cum gathering with few uni friends at giraffe, istana park. general agreement: most of the cost goes to pay the ambience and location. the spinach ravioli that I ordered consisted of 5 pieces of super-thin ravioli, stuffed with spinach of course, swimming in orange-colored sauce:















.. ermm.. don't think I'll return.

attended a full day comm skill workshop at le meridien, inclusive of breakfast, lunch and tea breaks. their international buffet lunch is terrific, what a change from the usual boring canteen food.. ;)

joined the gang for the second durian feast gathering at geylang. it was then followed by punggol nasi lemak for supper. the rice is just so-so, but the veggie and fried stuff are yummy.. reasons for the long queue and exorbitant price.

finally managed to tally the two reports I inherited last month.. I shall sleep peacefully tonight :) almost forgot how good it feels to knock off on the dot. still need to cross my fingers though that it won't cause problems after migration. next on the list is another troublesome monthly report.. argghh.. *banging head against the wall*

had a bowling get-together session at westwood bowl this afternoon. that was really a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of event. die die also must attend :)

followed by quick shopping and dinner at ivin's peranakan restaurant, binjai park. the place is quite secluded, but surprisingly it's packed. great food and affordable price. their dishes cost around $4 to $5, just nice to be shared by 4 people. no pictures are involved in this posting, and sadly maybe the subsequent ones, due to a permanent technical failure in my phone.. :((
