Best visa application experience so far: China. It really helps that they monetize the process and outsource it to a 3rd party. Form can be filled in and submitted online, appointment can be set in advance. Payment is upon collection and there are 3 choices: regular, express and urgent. The number of documents requested is not as many as other countries - no bank statement and no company letter required. The application centre is located right at city centre, very close to MRT. Submission and collection time stretch over lunchtime - allows me to be there without taking leave or time off. I was there at the centre 15 mins before my appointment time and everything was settled even before the appointment time. Easy, quick and painless. I like!
