highlights of today: IT christmas party! stopped working at 3 pm, left office quite some time after that. the place is located at dempsey road, it is small and cozy, with lots of bottles of wine on the shelves decorating the place, thus the name: wine network. the party started with some christmas songs, followed straight away by the idol contest. ok, now I know how it feels to be watching 'live' idol performance, though this one was really in a smaller scale compared to the real one. but the screams and everything else audible was already quite deafening. I played my part as the fanclub 'manager' by distributing the flag made from printed coloured paper and chopsticks; the star-shaped stickers made just few hours before; and held up the banner made from really thick big maroon towel, pasted on it were pink coloured letters forming the contestant's name, hehieheihe.. =) but no screaming for me, thank you very much. but I must confess that other people's screams are contagious.. the food was also quite nice.. the contestant whom I 'managed' sang a hindi song for the first round, and I can't get the melody out of my head until now.. help! it sounds something like this: "jani jani janardan.. tararam pam pam pam pam.." hhiahiahihaiha.. have read the translation before but now I can't remember what that means.. =p not bad, though, he emerged as one of the two finalists.. also because he wore very nice indian traditional suits.. but he didn't win the contest, 'cos it's pretty obvious that the other finalist sang really well. just wished that I had forced him to practice more for the english song he picked as the final song.. anyway he got some cash as runner up.. can expect a treat soon.. =)
