Monday, 5 Nov 2007: Singapore - Christchurch

Did some last minute packing. At 4.15pm, off we went to Changi airport by SBS bus 27. Checking in took quite some time due to naming confusion between first name and last name, which I can't understand as they should know each system has its own convention which name should come first. Had laksa and pretzel for snack at the terminal.

Boarding call was at 7.20pm and the plane took off at 8.05pm. It took 10 hours and 30 minutes to reach Christchurch from Singapore, and we were given a pack of blanket, purple socks, small tube of toothpaste plus the toothbrush, and a menu. Not that we had that many options, but we could choose what main course we'd like to have. So we had potato salad with pork mortadella sausage, perch fillet in herb sauce with roasted veg and potatoes, cheese & crackers, roll & butter, magnum ice cream (this one was made in indonesia), a cup of hot tea and a glass of singapore sling :)

Before touching down, we had another round of light meal: fruit, yoghurt, egg frittata with veg, tomato, veal sausage, potatoes; roll & butter and a cup of tea. yum!
