visited friends' house for housewarming session at the west side of the island. how things have changed there.. new stores have mushroomed around boonlay mrt station.. and a few more stations are to be opened soon.

had dinner at shokudo japanese market bazaar at raffles city's market place. the concept is the same as marche's, but it specializes in japanese fare. so many yummy choices around, I had a hard time to decide what I wanted. everything was there - from sushi, sashimi, rosti with sausage, katsu, teppanyaki, udon, burger, spaghetti, to various mouthwatering desserts.

in the end I settled with my fave fish - salmon - with egg rice bowl. slices of salmon, onion and mushroom were cooked in sweet sauce. when it's done, beaten egg was poured into the pan. last step, poured it on top of pipping hot rice. I also tried the bacon-wrapped prawn stick and tsukune stick (minced chicken balls).

food are priced reasonably, but the desserts are quite pricey. one small glass of ice macha float (green tea drink with green tea ice cream) costs $4.80.

oh, I found out that J.Co donuts are coming to town soon! the shop is still under construction at raffles city's market place =)
