Woke up at 7am even without a morning call. Had a lazy breakfast by the sparkling blue red sea. Had some free time then to laze around in our room, watched TV and walked to the beach.
Left Continental Hotel at 1.45pm to St. Catherine. The drive took 3 hours through Sinai desert. Pretty view, but barren. Stopped by petrol station and bought some snacks. Munching nuts while listening to my favorite songs and enjoying the desert beauty.. what a wonderful world =)
Reached St. Catherine village at about 5pm, 10 Celcius. It's freezing cold already and all the more we were worried about tomorrow's climb. Our hotel was called Morgen Land, quite basic, as there was no luxurious hotel around Mt. Sinai. We set the heater in the room to the max temperature, 30 C, but it still felt cold!
