after many many times talking about it, we finally drove the car out of the country for the very first time. the car's maiden drive was to, where else, JB. luckily we went with experienced friends. even then, we still found the traffic confusing.

we met up near Kranji MRT and then drove to Singapore checkpoint. last time I had bad experience trying to enter Malaysia using my (back then) new passport. now I had the problem trying to exit Singapore. they asked for my big green paper which was long expired. asked for my IC. since I did not bring both (yep, big mistake) they escorted us to the office, keyed in some stuff into their computers and then let us go.

first stop was to Shell station where we saw many other cars with Singapore plate number. pumped in the cheap cheap petrol, and then off we went to our super late dinner. it was already 9pm and we were starving.

dinner was at Kim Chi & BBQ Korean restaurant at Taman Pelangi. it was excellent. service was fantastic, food was so delicious. they even gave us some free dishes - hot & sour soup, steamed egg, red bean fried dumplings and cold ginger drink for dessert, plus 4 bottles of yakult.

we ordered bbq set for 4 people - 3 types of beef, prawn and squid. the beef was really yummy, tender and juicy.. *salivating* had it with bowls of fluffy steamed rice, and of course the various korean condiments like kimchi, few types of salad, toufu, ikan bilis, mushroom, fruit salad, etc.

damage on wallet: RM265 for 4 pax. the hassle we faced through the customs was well worth it.

before going back to Singapore, we made another stop at Shell station for car wash. For RM8, the wash was so thorough, and it included vacuuming the car's seats and mats. we're impressed.
