Tried some cakes at Beviamo, Tanglin Mall this afternoon with friends. Ordered hummingbird cake, carrot cake, strawberry shortcake and chicken avocado salad.

On a weekday afternoon, the place was about 50% full. Service could be better, though. Carrot cake was good but not moist enough, we've tried better version. Strawberry shortcake was a disappointment. Hummingbird cake was a hit among us - moist cake with a mixture between pineapple and banana, cream and toppings on top. Chicken avocado was great too.. chunky chicken bits in dressing, accompanied by avocado pieces served inside wide lettuce leaves, and sliced of roasted almond sprinkled on top. Yum!
