[Perth Trip] Day 5: Margaret River - Perth

We started our day quite early today at 9am, stopping by at glass studio to pick up some items and bought snacks from a bakery next to it, before continuing with a scenic drive through Boranup Karri Forest, South of Margaret River.

Our next stop was Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, situated where Southern and Indian Oceans meet. It's super hot and windy up there.

Cape Lavender was one of the places I intended to visit. It was not easy to find it and we asked a few times for direction. We heard that they are selling their land so it might be our first and last visit to the purple farm. It had lavender farm, winery, restaurant and souvenir shop. Everything there was in purple, including a toy chest filled up with soft toys - bears and giraffes. The toilet doors and walls were purple. Even their food had lavender flowers on top. We had cheese nachos, fish & chips, beef lasagna and rose wine. Superb lunch at beautiful place.

Our journey back to Perth took longer than expected as the car driving in front could not locate the hotel's address in the GPS. So we went around and around, made quite a number of u-turns. Driving in Australia was not as stressful, as there were not many motorcycles around. But I didn't fancy their numerous roundabouts.
