We had brunch at Riders Cafe, Bukit Timah Saddle Club today. The place was really secluded one had to either drive or take a cab in. But then it allowed for lush greenery on a large area. Right at the back of the cafe there was a horse barn. We could watch the horses being cleaned, fed and sometimes brought in or out.

The dining area was quite small, therefore reservation was highly encouraged. Even though we had reserved a table, we still needed to wait for a while for the table to be prepared. Thankfully today was a super cloudy day, so the non-air conditioned dining area worked just nice. The best seats were those next to the windows which allowed unobstructed view.

We ordered "the usual" item (that's what they named this set in the menu) which came as a plate filled with a slab of bread, scrambled egg, fat sausage, ham, tomatoes and mushrooms. Another plate was french toast set - came as two big slices of french toast topped with ham, strawberry slices and caramelized banana slices, plus a chunk of butter and a small bowl of honey.

Yummy! It's been a long time since we last enjoyed a hearty brunch.

French toast with ham ? It sounds quite odd .. especially there are also strawberry & banana ..

vmc: yeah, it was an odd combination, but I couldn't care less since they tasted good. maybe they put it there by mistake since ham was one of the items in the other set we ordered, haha.. :)

kamarasta: hooh.. dan ngenyangin banget.
