Wicked officially made it to my list of favorite musicals :)

I finally got a chance to watch it this evening, from a category 1 seat, no less.. woot! Thanks to 2 friends who're willing to go with us, we managed to upgrade our seats for free under the awesome foursome promotion.

Prior to this, I was completely clueless of "the untold story from the land of oz". Then I read the musical's synopsis, read the wizard of oz children story book, and started to listen to its songs from the original broadway production.

And therefore I managed to connect the dots between the stories before and after Dorothy dropped in.

The Australian casts performing at Marina Bay Sands Theater completely wowed me. The show's fantastic! I could see the characters' expressions very clearly. Glinda's voice was powerful. Idina still portrayed a better Elphaba, but the cast this evening looked very much the same physically - tall, skinny, long haired, and green :p I wonder how she looks like without the green-colored makeup.

there's a strange exhilaration, in such total detestation, it's so pure, so strong!
though I do admit, it came on fast, still I do believe that it can last!
