Happy Lunar New Year!

Celebrated Chinese New Year today at friends' place in Geylang. Beside the must-have yu sheng I lugged from Sakae Sushi, our main course was nasi tumpeng :)

Initially we wanted to do the traditional steamboat, but nobody has fridge big enough to store all the ingredients.

Nasi tumpeng was great, fragrant rice mixed with fried onions, with complete side dishes: grilled chicken, sliced omelette, perkedel jagung, kering tempe, sambel goreng ati & pete, and urap. Not forgetting the extras: pineapple tarts, almond cookies, bika ambon, bolu gulung meranti, almond longan dessert and ice cream.
