From Garden to Pizzeria

Spent Saturday evening in Botanic Garden, followed by dinner at Peperoni Pizzeria Hillcrest Park. Botanic garden was relatively empty today, and the weather was great for outdoor activities.

Tranquil garden

Peperoni Pizzeria serves authentic thin crust wood fired pizzas. Pizzas came in three sizes: 9, 12 and 21 inches. According to the waitress the 21 inches usually has soft center due to its size. We tried Calamari Fritti, Funghi Portobello con Pollo (deep fried whole portobello with sauteed chicken fillets in red wine sauce) and Saucisson (pizza with pork pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, roasted garlic).

All food was great and tasty. Good ambience. Service was quick, warm and friendly. Ice water was served free of charge. We could do self service too since we were seated at the bar where all the drinks were :p

Reservation is recommended in Hillcrest Park, especially during weekends. Parking could be a headache but they have valet service, which is great.
