one good thing about working at the east side of the island: overwhelming choice of mouthwatering food! a car really helps, of course.. :)

thanks to the car owner who provides free ride every now and then, we have tried quite a few places. the latest one was this place called Bagus Yong Tau Foo along the stretch of east coast road. the place was quite packed then so some patience was necessary.

we tried their ampang and hakka yong tau foo, served with la mien. they also have curry and original yong tau foo, plus few other side dishes. price is reasonable, 50c per piece with minimum purchase of 6 pieces ($3 without noodles/rice). the yong tau foo itself tasted good, but the la mien was really plain without any sauce or garnish.

just the other day we tried another yong tau foo stall which is also located somewhere on east coast road. the place is located opposite katong laksa stall, near Holy Family church. this one specialized in ampang yong tau foo and we didn't need to choose anything other than mentioning the number of person dining.
the dish definitely did not look like ampang style, to me. the soup was quite tasteless and price was quite expensive, more than $20 for 3 people (drink included).

I guess my favourite yong tau foo stall so far is still the one at siglap road.
