Had a fun boardgame day!

We started with lunch gathering at Crystal Jade Kitchen Holland Village. Looking for carpark at Holland Vi on weekends was a nightmare. By sheer luck we got a nice spot near to the entrance. We ordered some dim sum items, salted fish fried rice, beef hor fun, roasted pork, baby kai lan with oyster sauce, fried toufu with salt & pepper, chicken wings with shrimp paste. Yum!

Our first game was Citadels, as there were 8 people and Citadels was the most suitable one. Finished with the first game using normal set of characters, we continued by using the expansion characters. Rules were quite complex, and after a few rounds (after there was no more gold left with the bank, meaning city's bankrupt) we realized we should've just used maximum 2 expansion characters to replace the normal ones :p

So it's ended there and then we moved on to Risk. Since it can only accommodate up to 6 players, we grouped ourselves into 4 teams. But it did not last long because the guys grew 'aggressive' during war time.. so we ladies moved on to another game called Carcassonne.

It's a German game and the instructions were only printed in Germany. The game's quite simple but we needed some time to familiarize ourselves. For dinner we had pizzas delivered, eaten hot around the boardgames.

As the guys were still fighting to conquer the world, we ladies then played Cluedo, the traveler's version, so small it's difficult to read.

Fun, fun, day. Went home at around half an hour past midnight.. *yawn*

Boardgame? Whee! :D

Unfortunately, most of the games I own only take up to 4 players, and take like 1-2 hours per game :3

Next time you have problem with game rules, you can search for English version at www.boardgamegeeks.com!
