I was in no mood to do anything this weekend, but thankfully I went anyway to a gathering planned earlier with a group of friends. Great company, savory food and interesting games definitely lifted up the spirit.

First we had lunch at Holland Drive, the famous XO fish head bee hoon from Holland Village. Ordered their XO fish soup, prawn paste chicken, sliced fish hor fun, fried ngoh hiang and stir fried kailan. Superb! My favorite was the prawn paste chicken. Too bad we left our camera in the car.. thus no evidence to show here :s

Next stop was friends' house at Hillview. Played one round of Citadels, cut a birthday cake and then one round of Cluedo. The birthday cake tasted heavenly. Not too sweet, with nice and plump sultanas, and the cream cheese topping complimented the whole cake well. It was our first time playing Cluedo, it was fun and quite simple. The answer to today's murder mystery: Prof Plum at Dining Room with a rope :p

Last stop was other friends' house at Dover. We had pizzas and chicken karaage for dinner, followed by rounds of Street Fighter on Play Station. We left when the little one said she's very tired, that's past midnight already.
