[Europe Trip] Day 1

Yay! We're coming back to Europe for the second time! Frankly speaking, it's not as exciting as 3 years ago. I guess the novelty wore out after all; not to mention we left our little one home.

But Europe is as spellbinding as ever, and it's autumn!

Our flight took off at 1.05am. We got 2 servings of food during the 7 hours flight: savoury snack and breakfast. I love Emirates' sleep-inducing star-covered ceilings.

Arriving at DXB at 5am, we needed to take shuttle bus for around 15 mins to the terminal. The terminal is occupied only by Emirates, and the facilities almost can not cope with the passenger volume. It's too crowded and too noisy. Bored with the the shops, we ended up killing time at Paul, a French cafe - eating croissant and drinking tea while surfing the net and reading novel.

The next leg was around 5.5 hours long. We arrived at Flughafen Wien at 2pm and took the CAT train to city. Checked-in to Austria Classic Hotel Wien. By the time we're ready to go out and explore the area, it was already 5pm, so we went to Stephenplatz which was only 2 U-bahn stops away.

Had pizzas for dinner and attended 7pm English mass at St. Stephen. Vienna's frosty cold, I couldn't imagine how it'd be like during winter.
