Lunch at The Ship

Had a satisfying lunch at The Ship, NEX. We passed by the restaurant a few times and always thought that it's worth a try, and turned out we were right.

The set menu changes daily and the variety is good. We chose fish and chip and sirloin steak with pesto sauce. The set came with soup and bread for appetizer, dessert of the day (butter cake), tea or coffee for the drink. Plain water was served too.

Both fish and steak were great. Pesto sauce went really well with my well-done slab of sirloin steak. The soup tasted great too. We were full after the main course and just managed to finish the tea. We packed our butter cake home :p

The ambience was nice, with nautical decorations from the entrance to the seats and paraphernalia hanging on the wall.  Service was prompt, warm and friendly. The place was quite packed for a weekday lunch but there's no lack in service at all. Plates were cleared very promptly. They asked if we'd like to have the dessert and drink almost as soon as after we polished off our main courses. Two thumbs up!
