W39

We ventured out to west area today so I chose to have lunch at W39, a popular eatery with raving reviews. Located in Jalan Mas Puteh, its unit number is 39, which explains the name. Their color theme of baby blue and bright yellow is a pleasure to the eye. The yellow and white awning highlight its presence in the quiet neighbourhood.

Carpark is very limited, but thankfully we were able to secure a spot just next to the cafe. The tables indoor were all fully reserved so we sat outdoor. It was a really hot afternoon, but the fans they put up around the area helped.

There were not so many items in the menu to choose from. We settled with wagyu burger and brie, parma ham panini, plus apple crumble with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The portion was quite small. The big plate for wagyu burger contained only the burger and some fries and it looked rather sad and empty. Taste wise, it was alright but nothing to shout about. Their apple crumble was good, but it's a little to sweet for my tastebud.

As it was full house, the service was a bit slow. We were not given cutleries until we asked, and no children cutleries were given either. The bill took a while to reach us so in the end we went in to make payment at the cashier instead. Plus points - they were friendly and they served ice water.
