Tried the newly opened Ayam Penyet Presiden at Century Squre this afternoon. The dining area was quite big and it was not crowded at all.
Scrutinizing the menu, I wanted to order a few dishes but finally settled with batagor. Priced at $5.50 the batagor consists of 2 tahu goreng, 2 baso goreng, 1 boiled egg and a small bowl of peanut sauce - it was a small serving. It was alright but tasted nothing like the original batagor from Bandung.
Their fried empal was good - soft and well marinated. The set did not come with rice, though, so we ordered white rice separately. Es campur ($4.20) was okay.
