At Angelina

Took a day off today to take care of something at the embassy followed by an afternoon birthday celebration. On midday, we had a few free hours and I was tempted to try the newly opened Angelina in Capitol Galleria.

The mall was newly renovated and it looked great. It has not reached full occupancy yet and some sections are still out of bounds.

At around 12 noon, there were still quite a few empty tables. We ordered truffle ravioli and its signature dessert Le Mont Blanc to share.

Ravioli was tasty, although the portion was small and it took some time to arrive. Mont Blanc was really too sweet to my liking. Service was okay, ambience was good. Given the hefty price tags, I expected a lot more from the tea salon.
