[Perth Trip] Day2: Fremantle

Today's itinerary: Fremantle and Cottesloe beach.

It was quite a hassle to get out of Perth in the morning because of road closures due to some cycling event taking place. So we took a lot of u-turns plus went through several traffic jams before we managed to drive out of the city.

Fremantle was a laidback city with great view and great selections of food. Our first stop was at Kaili's for fish & chips. Their tagline was "voted the best fish & chips". To us their fish & chips was just okay, as their fries were soggy since they absorbed the heat and oil from the fried fish fillets put on top of them. The real treat was actually their gelato. They also offered fish & chips flavour. I asked for a sample and it tasted okay, just like a normal vanilla ice cream with some cookie crumbles.

After lunch we headed to Fremantle market. It had interesting combination of stalls selling various stuff from souvenirs, clothings, snacks, fresh fruit & veggies, some knickknacks.

We arrived at Cottesloe beach at about 3pm, when the sun was horribly hot. Still, the beach was packed with people.

We had tea break at Indiana restaurant which offered stunning view overlooking the beach, and had just the perfect location for viewing the sunset.

Then we drove back to Perth, initially planning to have Korean BBQ dinner at Arirang, but we parking space was a problem. So we headed straight to the hotel and order some Korean BBQ takeaway instead from a nearby restaurant.
